OPC UA and Euromap Standard 82.1

The Plastics Industry Association (formerly SPI) has adopted OPC UA and Euromap Standard 82.1 as the future of data exchange for temperature control devices such as mold temperature control units and chillers.

Euromap 82.1 and OPC UA will provide a common data exchange vehicle from different manufactures of temperature control devices to ensure universal compatibility.

Advantage is implementing Euromap 82.1 and OPC UA on its water and oil temperature control units and portable and central chillers that use the controls pictured below.

This page will be used to provide additional information and resources about Advantage and Euromap 82.1 & OPC UA as it becomes available.

While not fully implemented yet, Advantage is currently working with injection molding machine manufactures including Arburg, Engel and Milacron to assure compatibility.
