When trying to quickly cool a vessel and product often referred to as “crash cooling” from a relatively high starting temperature the initial cooling efficiency can be very high.
This may result in a cooling fluid temperature leaving the vessel that exceeds the maximum recommended temperature that the chiller can handle.
In these cases it is necessary to install a vessel return fluid temperature limiting control system as shown in the drawing.
For more information about how to quickly cool a vessel via crash cooling call the Advantage Sales Department at 317-887-0729.
